Grimma

Luther preached here several times in the St. Augustine monastery church. In 1523 Katharina von Bora, together with eight other nuns, fled from Nimbschen near Grimma to Wittenberg.

Features of interest: historic Market Square, Renaissance Town Hall, twin-towered Church of Our Lady (1230/40), suspension bridge, ruins of Nimbschen Monastery.
